Welcome to the

PhD & Professional Course

Hone your out-in-public skills and prepare for higher level certifications.

Do you feel like your dog is making progress but still not "finished" with their training?

Have you ever seen a well-behaved dog in public and thought "wow, I can't wait until my dog is like that"? This course is for you!

First of all, congratulations! You made it all the way to this point with your pup! That is no easy feat - but, guess what, there's still more to learn in this course!

The PhD & Professional Course is the "Doggie PR Class". The main focus of this course is teaching your dog how to navigate a crowded, chaotic public place with calmness, and confidence. All of the Life Skills, Relaxation Skills, Safety Skills, and Social Skills will be elaborated on and advanced in this course, plus we will add in a few new skills to make navigating the world an effortless experience.

Do you have dreams of Canine Good Citizen, Therapy Dog, or Service Dog titles in your future?

The entire PhD & Professional Course is broken down into the individual test items on the AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluation. We will cover each test item in detail, and discuss what will and will not pass in an evaluation. Often, therapy and service dog tests follow a similar format, so this will be a great foundation for owners training their own working dogs.

I have a soft spot in my heart for therapy dogs and have built an entire business around using dogs to support emotional wellness. This course takes the skills used in my Comfort K9 Program and makes them available for dog owners.
